match against geylang serai csc

ARGH!!! fucked up game today.

got there early, prepared well, warmed up and ready to go. but yet, what happened in the next 40 minutes don't quite tally with it.

the starter went up looking all set, but yet, the play was totally rubbish. though we led the opposing team throughout, except one short period in the 2nd quarter, but all that could be said is that we had a lousy game. plus the referee didn't help our team at all by calling some unjustified fouls against us.

today i didn't seat on bench for too long. after 2 consecutive fouls that zhi cheng made, i was quickly called upon. not that i did better. one silly indescribable turnover. coach totally F-ed me upside down. after that short moment on court, i had a few more brief spells on court. abit more calm then the first time round, passes were better, i had a great chance but blew it away, cause i didn't make that bloody lay-up.

and at one point of time, our lead was cut down to a mere 2 points because of some amateur-ish turnovers and that 2 3-pointers that the opposing no.8 made. thankfully jeremy replied with his 3 or 4 consecutive mid range shots. thus we were able to extend back our lead to 10 points.

assessment of myself:
still the same as the last game. need more improvements on game awareness. passes got to be more robust and of a good choice. calm down when taking shots, and, break from screens.

well, overall, not bad, but 2nd round would be more tougher than today's game, so we've got to buck up as a team, communicate more, help out on each other on defense, etc etc. alot more to do if we wanna to get through to final round and even to the point of getting hold of a medal.

tomorrow's the drawing of lots for the 2nd round grouping. hopefully we don't get team that are too overwhelmingly powerful like combined schools(red), tagawa, whye nam etc etc. and pray that our matches are not on tuesday, which is like 2 days away. the further back the better. :)

WORK HARD HORNETS!!! work hard kelvin. VISION's the keyword!
